This 24-inch dual-mount fireclay kitchen sink is made in Italy. The exterior height of 10 inches gives you an eye-popping 9-inch basin depth for the real-world dishes that are soon to appear! The drain placement is at the rear of the sink to give you a more unobstructed surface area for dishes. The drain opening is 3.5 inches in diameter and may require an extended ferrule due to bottom thickness. Style and practicality all rolled into one. Other reviewers are correct when saying the temperature dial needs to be set above the needed temp to get a correct preheat. Remedy with a hanging oven thermometer. Do not, I repeat, Do not get the ‘GE Installation’ service with this appliance. Even if you buy an installation kit. The technician will come in, excuse in hand, and will tell you that any dust, or light green on the gas pipe disallows them to service the installation. (When plumbers test for gas leaks upon installation they spray a little water on the line, leading to a light green) Be ready with your own plumber on the day of delivery. Both the filter and lens cover snap in place, with no tools required to change out as needed. Note: this hood does not include a power cord and is designed to be hard-wired by a licensed professional. I love these sinks! I was looking for square sinks for our modern style home, but didn't want to deal with puddling water in the corners. This sink looks very sleek and modern without sacrificing function. The only issue I had was with packaging. The sinks were shipped in a box without padding. I ordered 4 and 3 came broken.
