Cute fountain, a bit shorter than I realized. Had some blemishes in the glazing where it looks like someone applied a different material to fix it? The instructions didn’t include a great diagram of the part labeled “leak protector” so I had to find an online instruction manual for a similar fountain from the same company, which used the same part. The pump was a bit unwieldy to position. So far it’s a pleasant sound of water, no drips. Not sure if any birds will use it, I was hoping the sphere on top would attract hummingbirds to bathe. Standing 54 inches tall with a 26 inch diameter at the widest point, The fountain is self recycling, designed to allow the flow of the water to come out of the top finial and cascade down to the bottom for recycling. What a great idea and perfect way to decorate your outdoor living space incorporating the tranquil sounds of running water. Assembly of the fountain is required prior to use. Each piece of the fountain locks into the other for a sturdy construction when assembled. The center of the fountain also has a path for keeping cords hidden away. Water evaporates over time so please remember to occassionally check the water level in the fountain. Allowing the pump to operate without enough water will result in the pump to stop working. Beautifully finished in a terra cotta with four tiers, the fountain is a stylish addition to any landscape design.

I was quite apprehensive about buying such an expensive and heavy (300 lbs) item for delivery to Canada, as oversized items can be tricky to return. This was extremely well packaged. It was delivered by moving truck on a wooden pallet (as depicted), and we ended up taking NINE BAGS of packing material to the dump. I offer the following tips for assembly 1) Its very heavy. We used three people to lift the basin onto the pedestal, and a fourth person to navigate the power cord so it wouldnt get crushed. 2) The instructions that come with it are quite basic. They tell you to make sure the rubber stopper is secured well in the basin to avoid leaks. I pushed it in by hand, which wasnt enough, as the basin wasnt holding water. I had to disassemble and carefully tap the stopper in with a rubber mallet, taking care to avoid the power cord running through the center. 3) The rubber stopper appears to be one solid piece, which was confusing at first, but it actually has a hairline split in the side which allows you to press the power cable into the middle of the rubber plug. 4) They provided a large roll of black tubing that needs to be cut. The first segment I cut was a little too long, which caused the hose to crimp and impeded water flow. I shortened it considerably, but this made connecting it a little difficult. A second person needs to support the weight while the connection is made. 5) The clear tubing for the top portion (which is smaller in circumference than the black tubing) was missing. Fortunately we had a suitable replacement on hand. There are no interlocking pieces, it is all held together by weightgravity, so it requires a solid foundation. Initially, I was a little put off by the colour of the fountain as it is much more tera cotta (orangebrown) than I thought it would be, but it looks nice now that it is all assembled and running. My aim was to replace our old acrylic fountain that had broken apart over time. Hopefully, this concrete one will last for many years!
