The instructions implye that they should be at the same level, such that the corner adapter can slide in hand fasten them together .However they were not. 2) one of the groves on the metal frame could not geip the screw provided. I really like this bed. The fabric is nicer than anticipated. The feet on the bottom are dark wood. There is a little silver ball on each side of the bed.
