Haven’t installed yet, but these were a great value on sale! I’ve seen some places charging 80 per light and the cheapest other option was still 40. Since I have to buy a large volume of these, a savings of 5-10 per light realllllly adds up! The spacing between each hole is American standard 16''. Tracks 8ft and under are one single track instead of being connected by multiple shorter tracks. Tracks 9ft to 16ft will be connected by two tracks. Tracks 18ft and 20ft will be connected by three tracks. Therefore, the spacing between the holes in the connecting section may not be 16''. The idea behind this is brilliant. I just wasn't so sure about the dimensions provided to order the correct item for my lights - and I didn't. The outside width is 5" and the inside clips to hold inside the recessed can are 4." If this lasts less than the 50,000 hours advertised, I would be hesitant as throwing away a single light bulb seems environmentally preferable to throwing away this entire apparatus. One star deducted for lack of adequate dimensions in the listing. I didn't get to try the various settings because, alas, my smallest can light is actually 6 inches, so I'll have to try the appropriate size.
