This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. Great pendants! The bulb is completely hidden by the frosted glass. I have mine with LED bulbs and theyre on a dimmer. Theyre also on my sloped ceiling, so theyre pretty much compatible with everything. As the other reviews have said, it can be tricky to change the bulbs after its assembled. I didnt have an issue with it because I have small handsarms and they fit pretty easily in the frosted glass canister (which is approx 3.25 in diameter). Overall, people love them, and I do too!
