My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools. I purchased 2 of these magnificent lighting units. Plan on a 1-2 day job for your electrician, (2 units took 2 days). They have to reinforce your ceiling with wood between the joists. These fixtures are MAGNIFICENT!. Use only the LED dimmers listed in the installation manual to assure flicker-free dimming. A real plus is that these units use replaceable LED bulbs. Other cheaper units do not, which means on the cheaper units you toss the whole fixture. The lead crystal "pendants" on this are magical. I'm going to post photos. You can adjust the pendant cords to any length/configuration you want. These are on either side of my bed in Master Bedroom. A real show-stopper.
