Decent fan for the price. Instructions were very basic without a great deal of detail. Had to do some research on the web to clarify wiring questions. But, all in all, assembly was not difficult and the fan seems to be quiet and has several speed andlighting modes. Remote is useful. Tips: 1. If your outlet has red, black, and white wires, only the black and white are connected to fan; cap the red with a wire nut. 2. Green and yellow wire on bracket connects to ground. 3. You may need to replace two existing screws on motor with longer screws in order to secure the ceiling cover. 4. A flat screw driver set is very helpful in securing those two screws because the space between the cover and motor housing is tight. 5. Some bolt holes were too small for the bolts supplied. This is a lovely piece to compliment an empty wall space. However, there are a few things we were a little disappointed with. The instructions say it's easy to put together, and should be done in an hour. Maybe for the professionals. For my husband, and I (yes you do need 2 people to assemble), it took over two hours. The instructions are all in pictures, and no words so while it was easy to figure out what went where, we still had to double check we were using the correct amount of hardware for each piece. We assumed it was only for pieces to put together. Not the case- it's more than 4, less than 20. Also usually furniture comes with 'caps' to lay over the screws so it looks finished. There were no 'caps' included. So while the end product is quite lovely, we will be very careful if we order again since we do not want to have to put anything together.
