Perfect, perfect, perfect! This light is in a room 13' x 13' with 9' ceilings, over a queen sized bed. It's fantastic. I have 40 watt bulbs in the fixture. It is not on a dimmer. It casts a lovely warm light throughout the room. It's not bright-white reading/task light, but I didn't want that. I wanted useful but calm mood lighting. These bulbs with this fixture would be absolutely perfect over a dining table. If you used 60 or 100 watt bulbs it would be quite bright. Apologies for the poor photography - it's tough to photograph bare bulbs! Unique light fixture! As reviews say, better in person than pictured. Also, the lights look like they have a nickel-finish up close, but once hung and lit they are warm and ambery. 4 stars because the install on this bad boy was not a breeze. Needed to search the video (on the product detail page, but not clickable) to understand what to do with the 16 wires for the 8 lights (group ‘em all!), and the light panel itself is SO heavy to hold above your head with all the clonking globes while doing so.
