Bought this for our lower level that doesn’t have central air. Actually had to move and use this upstairs now that our central air has failed on the main floor. It’s been high 80’s this past week but with this thing on the main floor, it actually keeps it pretty cool even with the heat. Pretty impressive and it’s quiet! There are some good features to this air conditioner. It is lightweight and easy to carry and install into the window. It has several modes and the lowest setting makes very little noise. The "quiet" setting is very quiet. It doesn't give the cold cooling feeling that old air conditioners do and feels more like a central air conditioning system. My windows are non standard wide so I had to adjust the installation recommendations.
