Great product so far. And aesthetically, the most minimal and elegant dehumidifier I could find. Took about 24 hours to dehumidify our piano room and get it to the humidity level I set it to (from 55% to 45%). It's not the most quiet appliance, but it is very effective and isn't in our main living space, so it's perfect for us. So far the manual setting works pretty well. I set it to 45% and it automatically turns on and off to keep the humidity level around there. I have a hygrometer near the piano that tracks humidity level and it's staying very steady since getting this dehumidifier. I'm also I glad I got the one with wi-fi connection. You can control everything through the app– turn the dehumidifier on/off; change the modes between Auto, "Dry" (the manual mode), Quiet, Fan, and Continuous; and fan speed. I am so excited for this mini split unit. Getting a new central air conditioner is just not in the cards right now. This is a very affordable price for the amount of ac and heat that you are getting. Things of note, we had to buy a specialty drill bit to be able to install the units properly. We live in a brick house and needed to be able to drill through the brick. The lines that connect from outside to inside need about a 2 inch diameter hole to pass through. We also decided to buy a rack so that we could hang the main condenser above the ground. We were not able to install this by ourselves and had to call for reinforcements via an HVAC guy. Once everything is finished being installed I will update with the finished product! UPDATE: like others have posted, you will need a special HVAC vacuum to start the unit. You will also need special wire and a 220 outlet to connect to. Our BLACK+DECKER ENERGY STAR rated Window Air Conditioner with Inverter Technology is built for high efficiency cooling and energy efficiency in mind. Inverter technology uses a variable speed compressor (rather than a fixed speed) to adjust according to the room temperature. This provides a more consistent temperature and helps save energy while efficiently controlling motor speed. The variable speed compressor automatically adjusts its rotational speed according to the selected temperature. It does not cycle on and off like traditional air conditioners. This also helps to reduce noise. Our ac unit for bedroom comes with a Full Function remote control with LED screen display and Follow Me Function. The follow me feature allows you to use the remote as the thermostat to get temperature readings from where you are instead of the AC unit. This allows more precise temperature readings and improved control for cooling your environment. The control panel on the air conditioner window unit has electronic control with digital display. Our window AC allows adjustable thermostat controls from 60°F (16°C) to 86°F (30°C) with both Fahrenheit and Celsius readouts. Choose between Auto, Cool, Dry and Fan mode operations. Fan mode comes with 4 settings including auto, Low, Med and High fan speeds. Auto mode automatically selects cooling or fan only operation depending on the selected temperature and room temperature. Bought this for our lower level that doesn’t have central air. Actually had to move and use this upstairs now that our central air has failed on the main floor. It’s been high 80’s this past week but with this thing on the main floor, it actually keeps it pretty cool even with the heat. Pretty impressive and it’s quiet!
