I would say if you are looking at it just for the steam function I would not buy just for that. You can only put water in while the oven is cold before you start to bake. I had visions of steam baking big batches of cookies and muffins with the steam back function. Before you get through a second batch of muffins or maybe 3 sheets of cookies the water will have all evaporated and you will be out of steam. Kinda disappointing might as well just put a pan of water in below item you are baking rather than pouring in bottom of oven. We keep drinks primarily in ours as well as items we need to keep cold that we don't have room for in the kitchen fridge.
