I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. I have several stove top smokers. This is one of them. It does a good job, you just have to insure the wood chips (make sure they are real fine) don't get wet from the juices. A little foil on the bottom with the ends turned up will do the trick. I smoke salmon regularly for my wife. Since I cook on an induction top, this smoker makes good contact with the hob and works efficiently. You will have to experiment to get your desired smoke flavor.. Jtom4cats. So when I saw this on Wayfair, I thought I could upgrade my gas cooktop with a newer one, as the dimensions were the same as my old gas cooktop. It arrives and I was surprised that the quality was better than my old one by a little bit. The strikers that ignite the fire were a bit larger and shouldn’t have issues if they get dirty. Overall it is a good cooktop. Unfortunately, the underside of the cooktop is much wider than my old one, so I can’t replace it in my kitchen as the wood underneath the cooktop I have now is too narrow. I love my new stove. Having the grill plates connected a flush makes for easier movement of pots pans while cooking, especially when they can be heavy.
