I saw this on sale and ordered it. I loved the weight and seems closer to wood. ! I was lucky that I had a friend that could hang it for me and knew what to do with a slab door. This is a very nice looking door once stained and installed. My husband had to do a few modifications to mount over the studs. There are also slight gaps in the wood, where the horizontal pieces meet the vertical. I may notice them less and less over time. I gave it four stars instead of five because of that and also because it did require some skill in putting it together and making the modifications put. This is an excellent door. It is solid. I did have to have it professionally installed since my house is a bit crooked. As you can seen in the pic where the door looks like unfinished wood on the side with the hinges, that's where the installer had to trim down the door to make it fit in the wonky space. As you can see, that's wood. Nice solid wood. The door is a very nice addition to my house. It looks modern while still maintaining a vintage feel. I will purchase a second door 100% for sure for my other room. I wanted to make sure this one was quality and it definately is. It was also packaged very well and delivery was smooth and without damage. I would purchase this item without any worry. It is a very nice door and definatley a nice addition to your home.. Tamara.
