It feels very stable with the 4 contact points on the floor/ground when it is a cantilever. I’m not sure how the finish will weather, but it is coated and should last for a while. I was a little nervous based on some of the comments. It is much nicer than expected. It seems very sturdy and stable. Assembly wasn't difficult, but also wasn't a snap. Nice for the price, but I too had a crimp in one of the base sleeves that would not allow the leg to be inserted. I was able to remove a small section with my Dremel tool and file it smooth.
