I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. I recently purchased the LG Probake Convection, Air Fry, InstaView Selfclean, EasyClean and Snart, Stainless, Freestanding Electric Range, and it’s been a great upgrade. The InstaView is one of my favourite features being able to check on food without opening the oven is perfect for baking and helps keep the temperature steady. The ProBake Convection cooks faster and more evenly, which I noticed right away. I enjoy cooking with the cooktop. It’s heats up quickly, and distributes heat well, and the smooth glass surface is easy to clean. The different element size are really practical depending on what you are cooking. The built in Air Fry is a nice bonus, and I like that it alerts you if the oven door is left open. Small details, but really helpful. My family appreciates the Wifi connectivity. Being able to preheat the oven remotely through the app is a level of convenience I didn’t realize I needed until now. It helps, especially on busy days. I like the broiler being actually in the oven instead of being in the bottom drawer of the oven, but that will take some getting used to. But having the storage drawer is very convenient. The digital control for the oven I feel is more accurate than a knob to control the oven temperature. And I like the simplicity of that feature on this particular model. I feel that on some ranges with all the oven features on the control panel are unnecessary. I like the simplicity of this model. The burners light so fast and easy! And the oven heats faster than any oven I have ever had. The only thing that I have found is that I miss having one smaller burner for simmering, the lowest burner setting is not low enough to simmer using a small pan but works fine with a larger sized pan. The gas range is very powerful, the iron grill is sturdy and offers a flat top (no pot or pan wiggling!) for the entire range. This feature is helpful in a small kitchen with limited counter space. Other reviewers are correct when saying the temperature dial needs to be set above the needed temp to get a correct preheat. Remedy with a hanging oven thermometer. Do not, I repeat, Do not get the ‘GE Installation’ service with this appliance. Even if you buy an installation kit. The technician will come in, excuse in hand, and will tell you that any dust, or light green on the gas pipe disallows them to service the installation. (When plumbers test for gas leaks upon installation they spray a little water on the line, leading to a light green) Be ready with your own plumber on the day of delivery. It's exactly what my wife wanted, and she's happy with it. For installation, the gas line and the electrical wire have to share a very small space at the bottom in the back. Advice: Don't try to use a gas line that's longer than 36" (1m). Both a 3-prong and a 4-prong electrical wire were included.
