There were some treads that had flaws (loose gel under the clear film) so after talking to representative Jana (super nice and helpful) about them they are going to send me another set. If you plan to install new stair risers, you will need to cut the riser flush with the existing stair tread so the overlap stair nose covers the riser properly. You can also use the overlap stair nosing wherever you have a floor that is raised above the adjoining area. Note: Stairs that have an existing bullnose will need to have the bullnose removed prior to installing the new tread or riser to accept the overlap stair nose correctly. For the price, design, feel and ease of installation I gave 5 stars. They do what they are intended to do. Double sided tape did come with the product. The edges will need to be tacked down due to the design and traffic patterns and normal home humidity levels. I anticipate after a few washes the sticky underside will lose its effectiveness.
