This is a very soft area rug! I got a pad for underneath it but you probably wouldn’t need one. The cats LOVE it. This is a beautiful Puccio runner rug. It has nice thick feel and is very soft. The colors are a great neutral scheme. It is perfect for the entry from the sunroom and blends well into the dining room. The colors hide pet hair well. It is the perfect height for robot vacuums. I actually thought about returning this rug because i was not sure it would match ,although i read so many reviews about it that were good . Well I'm here to say it is absolutely beautiful .
