Fit the vintage tub I picked up from a scrap yard and repainted which had a 4 inch spread. I would have preferred one that was fitted specifically for a 4 in spread, because the mechanism that allows it to be adjustable also makes it a bit bulky, but the price for all the components together couldn't be beat. I think my plumber may have added the plastic nuts for the bolts, not sure those are the ones it came with, which detract from the look, but its in the back. Overall I am very happy with this.. I warred with getting these or the pedestal base, but due to replacing a bathtub with a unique plumbing layout, the feet were the best option if I needed to have my drain assembly facing the room.
