I will give this a 4 because overall I like the appearance and the sturdiness of this rain barrel. However I had to make some alterations to this barrel to suit my needs. First of all the hose holder is insufficient as it is currently configured. It doesn't seat tightly in the hole provided and sometimes comes off when removing the hose. I cut off the 2 prongs on the back so the back was flat. I used a stainless-steel screw to attach it to the barrel. Problem solved, It works great. Second- The openings on the black top cover are a bit too large and will let more debris in than desired. I cut a piece of screen to fit over it and attached it with 6 four inch wire ties. Problem solved, It works great. Third- The nipple at the bottom of the barrel that the hose clamps too is rather small in diameter and a potential weak spot over time IMO. I cut it off, drilled a 1 and an eighth inch hole and replaced it with a bulkhead adapter to fit a standard garden hose. Works great. If you are somewhat handy all these are doable.. Louis. Since the sensor is wireless, it can be placed close to the ground, and the removable lid makes for easy service and maintenance. The wireless sensor array features a pagoda thermo-hygrometer radiation shield with passive aspiration for the utmost accuracy, a bubble level for plumb installation, and a solar panel. It connects to the console via RF (915 MHz) up to 1000 feet of the line of sight in the open air (300 feet under most conditions). The wireless signal will not pass through solid metal, earth, or ground. The sensor array mounts to any pole between 1 and 2" in diameter with an adaptive mounting bracket and U-Bolt design that can be tightened to your mounting bar (not included). However, the box that it came shipped in, had a big hole in the back and one of the straps cut through on the top and damaged the top of the frame slightly, but it is not noticeable from the front.
