I will give this a 4 because overall I like the appearance and the sturdiness of this rain barrel. However I had to make some alterations to this barrel to suit my needs. First of all the hose holder is insufficient as it is currently configured. It doesn't seat tightly in the hole provided and sometimes comes off when removing the hose. I cut off the 2 prongs on the back so the back was flat. I used a stainless-steel screw to attach it to the barrel. Problem solved, It works great. Second- The openings on the black top cover are a bit too large and will let more debris in than desired. I cut a piece of screen to fit over it and attached it with 6 four inch wire ties. Problem solved, It works great. Third- The nipple at the bottom of the barrel that the hose clamps too is rather small in diameter and a potential weak spot over time IMO. I cut it off, drilled a 1 and an eighth inch hole and replaced it with a bulkhead adapter to fit a standard garden hose. Works great. If you are somewhat handy all these are doable.. Louis. UPDATE it is now 25MAY 2026 and I decided to get my water bell feature from out of the garage and give it a go again. I had to replace the pump. To my surprise, once I hooked it up, it works perfectly! I’m happy that I tried it again. Thank you! A few months ago, I was at a salt room and I was introduced to a water bell fountain and I fell in love with it. When I inquired about it, I was told that it was very old (and not for sale). I wanted one so I searched the internet and found this one and purchased it. I’ve had it set up for awhile now and to my disappointment…no bell ringing. This will make filling up your cup at night so much more simple and easy. The dispensing area of space below the spouts. This will accommodate most large cups or bottles. There is a removable drip tray at the bottom of the dispensing area to catch any drips or spills. This water cooler is bottom loading with a cabinet to hold 3 or 5-gallon bottles. The water is pumped from the bottle through the machine. There is also an empty-bottle indicator that will light up when the bottle needs to be replaced. On 1-12-2026 my 13 yr old Boyd Flotation Regency 4 waterbed mattress sprung a leak, forcing me to take immediate action. After extensive (accelerated) research I purchased the Innomax Genesis 800 Ultra Waveless Lumbar Support Waterbed Mattress (Queen) - double the price I paid in late 2012. I received the new Innomax mattress on 1-16-2026. It took 2-3 hrs. to completely fill a queen size mattress and approx. 36 hrs. to heat up to the desired temperature. It’s much too soon to confirm the quality durability. This is a firmer waterbed mattress than what I’ve slept on for the past 40 yrs, but it is quite comfortable. There are 2 spouts at the foot of the bed - 1 to fill another to ‘burp’. As a height challenged person, I don’t feel these spouts when I’m in bed - though this could be an issue for taller people (a quilted mattress pad may help). While the vinyl does have a distinct noticeable smell, it has diminished each week. Since my bedroom door is always closed, the smell is contained and hasn’t affected any other areas in the house. My reasoning for less than 5 stars is due to the lousy tiered warranty compared to other waterbed mattress manufacturers. Anyone who’s owned a waterbed since the 1980’s will be disappointed to discover that supplies and parts are quite limited, making it a sellers market. This means you can expect to pay at least double the price from a decade ago if you don’t want to convert to a traditional mattress (which is considerably more expensive). My advice is to thoroughly research explore all available options (including local online markets) before you buy any waterbed supplies and replacement components.. Bonnie. Plymouth, MI.
