I do feel obligated to give a mild warning to prospective buyers: - When the instructions say 2+ people are required at certain stages they mean it. DON'T do what I did (assembled the posts and beams upside down and flipped it over). Ripped bolt anchors, bent metal, lots of cursing. All fixable but not a good time. - The instructions only include pictures and there were more than a couple times I interpreted them incorrectly . I ended up having to remove and re-install parts after having that "ah-hah" moment . Not the end of the world but it adds time. - Nuts and bolts are made of soft metal. You WILL have lots of stripped bolts if you use a power drill ( a must if you want to speed things up) and are not super careful. Good news is Sojag provides lots of extra parts. But... - Having so many extra parts means you'll constantly second guess whether your missing something; especially since there are holes that don't need anything. Have it up for the second season. Good quality but should be made stronger where poles are attached. Had to put gorilla tape over the tares. update - this past summer it tore so much it has to be replaced. Someone should design these with stronger fabric. Update july 2024. It was difficult to find the shower door I wanted for our tiny bathroom and this was perfect. I love the simplicity and low profile of this patio umbrella base stand! It says it’s 40 lbs. but it feels much heavier than that! It was extremely easy to assemble, five minutes! I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole.
