Why in the world the previous owner installed white ceiling fans on a brown house is beyond me!! I hated the old fan, how dirty it was and how it didn't match the exterior of the house in any way at all. So, I stumbled upon this GREENEVER outdoor ceiling fan and knew it would be perfect! The fan was fairly easy to install (cramming the remote box into the housing without crimping wires is always the hardest part!). A great modern update for my bedroom that I remodeled to replace the old early 2000s model I had. It’s much more quiet and glides through the air. I keep it set to 6 which is the highest speed. It’s was about 40 minutes to get it assembled and installed. The instruction video made things super easy, but the printed instructions were good too. My only issue is that it does not have memory. So if power gets switched off, it will not save your last setting (including blade direction) and you must use the remote to power it on. Bought3 fans from this company. The work fine and are quiet. My two problems are 1. I choose the recommended size braised on the manufacturer. I would go larger to increase the air flow. Secondly, is the little tiny control that does not respond immediately. We have the fan on full speed at night but it is a chore to turn light on. The black remote is for the fan of the photo I sent. This fan is beautiful! I had an electrician install the fall. He was able to take down the old fan and put in this new fan in about 40 minutes! So much have been a super easy set up.
