I could not commit to a standing desk... most were very tacky and just not what I wanted in my house. I figured if I didn't want to have the standing configuration anymore and I didn't utilize it as much as I thought, I could get rid of the converter and keep my regular desk. The converted is EXTREMELY heavy right out of the box. it is very cumbersome but it needs to be to hold up monitors and support your workstation. Some have complained about how difficult it is to adjust the monitor arms... you don't want them to be too easy to adjust or they will be moving all the time unnecessarily. To me, it is perfect. My only issue is that the way mine is set up is that my laptop hides the controls to move it up and down, I need to get another extension to hold up my laptop ( I use the camera on my laptop and the extra screen) and be able to use the desktop space for my keyboard and see the controls. The up and down buttons are easy to see if you look right at them. It does slightly hang off my desk but I knew that would happen before I bought it. I am very pleased, it feels sturdy. Caution, the box with the frame is much heavier than expected, but you can tell quality went into the making. Didn't have to program the motors or calibrate them. The cup holder is a nice touch for sure! I do wish it came with a PC tower holder, but there was room on top for the desktop. I am a developer, not a gamer, but it's perfect for my setup! The price is higher than many of the others but I chose this one, because the top is a solid piece and not split like a majority of the others. Both the instructions and myself say that it’s a pretty good idea to use two people to assemble this feast. I put it together all by myself and the only way that I could’ve accomplished. This was to move it peace by peace to it’s final spot. Once I put it all together, it is massive and heavy duty. The dual motor function works seamlessly.
