Beautiful panels, they make a super stylish setup. I purchased 6 of them for my deck, they arrived w/o scratches or hits on 2 per box arrangement, very well packaged. Now, these panels are made of some sort of wood, it is hard but easy to drill on, I used a 1/8th countersink bit with a tapper and fixed them to the side of my deck using #8 x 1 1/2" construction screws. They are about 3/8" thick, so I added a 0.665 x 1" vinyl strip behind it, to make it flush with the siding of the decking material which is 1". I also added some black landscape fabric behind to give the depth of the openings on the design and prevent bugs from entering. The result is a very unique deck which we love. Instructions say that the wood will age to gray naturally, I like it dark brown as it is, so I'll be adding some matte clear coat to prevent the aging process. These are really great looking screens. Assembly was not difficult at all. I think, in total, it took me about 25 minutes to get both of them assembled. The longest part was laying out the planks to make sure I knew which one to use in what order. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the wood has already started to shift a little bit. Not much, and thats what wood does as it expands and contracts, but it has been noticeable in a couple of spots. First off, this gate does come with the hardware needed to attach it to posts or whatever you need. The description wasn't very clear on that, but calling Wayfair Support before purchasing assured me that was the case. Second, we haven't installed it yet because our contractor is building our fence and this will be the last step. Third... and I probably should have started with this, the assembly instructions leave A LOT to be desired. It took me and my husband nearly two hours to put together. The instructions did not say how many of each part we were supposed to have so out of the gate (no pun intended), and just had to start and assume we had everything we needed. Fortunately all parts were there. But there was no way to know that when we started. Then the instructions we're not very clear AT ALL and we have a couple of failed attempt where it became clear we did something wrong and had to pull things off and start again. We're both fairly handy and have assembled plenty of things in the past, so it wasn't operator error. Things didn't fit together easily either and you definitely need a rubber mallet to pound some things into place. It would have been way easier to assemble if they instructions had been more accurate and clear. Fortunately we didn't put the glue on it as it said to do at the beginning, otherwise we would have been really angry having to wipe it off and start again. Lastly, it does look good so far. Photos are leaning up against our garage door. We got the 5 foot wide version. Hopefully our contractor will have an easier time assembling and attaching the gate mechanisms and hinges/latches..
