This ADA compliant slide latch is constructed of stamped stainless steel and comes in a satin finish. It is a surface-mounted latch that is designed for use on 1 in. thick swing-in partition doors, and it comes complete with an "occupied" indicator and a matching stainless steel keeper. The exterior indicator has a dial-type internal mechanism that announces a locked door (or an occupied stall) with red color when the lock is engaged. When the slide lock is in the unlocked position, the dial indicator reveals a green color, or unoccupied state, announcing its availability for use. For access to the locked stall, the exterior indicator also comes equipped with a stainless steel pull and a slotted barrel nut which can disengage the lock from the exterior in the event of an emergency. Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side. This is a sash lock and keeper. Constructed from diecast zinc it comes in a white finish. They are found on a variety of sashes and due to their design are often used as a child safety lock. The Rockwell Charlotte handles are the traditional sliding door handles. It is a 2 piece construction handle and is available in a back-to-back C handle or with an exterior finger pull. The Charlotte sliding door handles have a good finger clearance but do have a profile height of 1.95 inches and may not clear all screen doors. They come standard in a private version but are also available in a limited edition with the key locking cylinders preinstalled in the offset keylock position. The handles are Non-handed and suitable for either right or left-hand doors. The Charlotte handles are suitable for 0.171″ diameter screw-hole door face bores.
