This Prime-Line Swing Bar Door Guard will increase peace of mind when answering the door by allowing the door to be cracked open slightly for viewing. When engaged, a ball on the keeper interlocks with the bar lock and prevents an intruder from pushing their way through. We have improved upon the standard door guard design and added an innovative backup thumb turn security lock that blocks the release tool from disengaging the door guard latch. In cases of emergency, hotel security or emergency crews can pop the thumb turn off of the unit by applying approximately 100 pounds of force to the door. (Note that 100 pounds of force is much greater than a simple kick in, so the emergency release feature does not compromise your security.) Additionally, after the thumb turn lock breaks away, the unit still operates as a traditional swing bar door lock and a specially designed Anti-Lockout emergency access tool is required to swing the door guard out of place. To help prevent forced entry into your home, it is always a good idea to engage the backup thumb turn lock whenever you are not actively using your door.

This patio lock is made well. I wish I could install it, but my new apartment complex will not allow me to drill into the frame. I will be giving this to my sister to use on her patio door. This black patio door handle is a surface with hook latch style and is keyed. Often found on older style patio doors, it is mounted on the door's inside frame and the hook latch engages the keeper mounted on the jamb. It has a 2-1/8 inch high extruded aluminum inside handle with an anti-lift feature on the hook latch. The mounting holes are 4-15/16 inch apart. The outside handle is a low profile extruded pull with cylinder.

This ADA compliant slide latch is constructed of stamped stainless steel and comes in a satin finish. It is a surface-mounted latch that is designed for use on 1 in. thick swing-in partition doors, and it comes complete with an "occupied" indicator and a matching stainless steel keeper. The exterior indicator has a dial-type internal mechanism that announces a locked door (or an occupied stall) with red color when the lock is engaged. When the slide lock is in the unlocked position, the dial indicator reveals a green color, or unoccupied state, announcing its availability for use. For access to the locked stall, the exterior indicator also comes equipped with a stainless steel pull and a slotted barrel nut which can disengage the lock from the exterior in the event of an emergency. This latch mounts over a durable, black plastic base with its mounting holes spaced apart at 1-3/8 inches, and it features a 1-3/16 in. bolt throw. This lock includes a stainless steel set screw and steel Allen wrench required for installation. Toilet partition slide latches like these are used by many and they are easy to install.

Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side.
