This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. The RSI general purpose greenhouse & small building electric powered exhaust fan system is designed to fit all structures. The general design is for low profile structures that are in need of air. Their fan is proudly made in the United States and truly designed to fit all structures, but the purchaser needs to be able to retrofit the exhaust system to their own structure since each structure and building materials are different. Two ways fan can be mounted, from the outside or from the inside. If mounting from the outside a hole in the wall would need to be cut to allow for the fan and interior cage to fit through the wall. Use fasteners (not included) to fasten the fan to the wall by drilling through the framework and caulking the framework to make it water tight. The fan structure is now 100% enclosed in the building and the louvers are on the outside of the structure. If mounting from the inside, a hole in the wall would need to be cut so that the louvers will be able to open and close freely. Slide it in the opening from the inside out. The exterior lip around the louvers acts to finish off the appearance from the outside. Seal with caulking and fasten the fan to the wall (fasteners not included).

This is a wall register and as described. The metal is a little flimsy to take that into consideration with drilled it in. It looks nice and new and makes the other register in the room look so dirty, so will have to replace that too!
