This class 2, UL & cUL listed enclosed electronic transformer is the perfect solution for wiring multiple low voltage fixtures. Class 2 transformers are intrinsically safer transformers because they are compartmentalized to allow no greater than 5 amps of current to be drawn on each compartment. Enclosure cover is easy to remove. The transformer has knockouts on three sides with clips for line voltage wiring. Secondary wiring for class 2 transformers does not require conduit sheathed cable or clamp wiring techniques. This transformer has a low minimum load requirement of 1W to allow the use of LED products. Maybe dimmed using an electronic low voltage dimmer.

We were going to use conduit but just buried the wiring well and nothing ever goes in the rocks. We loved this lighting so much we bought more and will be putting in our front yard as well. I normally don't rate my purchases. However, this low voltage kit appears to be of very high quality, lovely design, and made of solid metal. Easy to install and works better than expected, for the price. Only downside was that bulbs are not included, so make sure you don't purchase bulbs with too much total wattage.
