When it goes into a spin, it sounds like an airplane engine. And because it is in my kitchen, the noise is unfortunately very annoying. I was also disappointed that there was no Stainless Steel option for color, but most all brands of compact washers only come in white now; also unfortunate because all my other kitchen appliances are stainless..
