Wasn’t hard to build if you have any knowledge of cabinet construction. Generally looks nicer than comparable units because of the raised face door and drawers. The product itself is great. It's exactly what I needed for my anxious dog. I purchased from Wayfair because of shipping options. I didn't want the product damaged during shipping. For reference, I actually climbed inside to test it (yes, I’m that person ), and I could sit straight up without my head touching the top. There’s plenty of room for two medium-sized dogs to stretch out comfortably. I also love that it doesn’t scream “dog crate.” The rustic brown top and black frame give it a true furniture look. It blends beautifully into the bedroom and doubles as usable surface space, which is a big win if you’re trying to keep things polished instead of kennel-cluttered. The only downside for me was the hardware. The same day we assembled it, one of the latches broke. That was disappointing, especially since everything else feels solid and well-built.
