Perfect for what it is. It's not exactly the size I wanted but it's beautiful it holds a ton of stuff I have everything in there from books to Christmas decorations to cords from every electronic thing I own, whole shelf of liquor bottles a whole shelf of wine glasses. I wanted something to go underneath a gallery wall of sculptures. I wanted something vintage couldn't find something sleek and simple. Somehow I stumbled across this and it's a beautiful acorn warm color golden brown not muddy it is all wood except for of course the back which is against the wall and I couldn't care less what it is. It's a very heavy piece so a solid back would have made it even worse. The drawers are on rails and easy to open and shut. The sliding panels are very very slidey! Maybe a bit too slidey actually! My husband put it together but I could have if I were a little taller and stronger. Follow the instructions, be methodical lay out all the pieces carefully before beginning and it's not really that difficult I think he did it in about 90 minutes maybe tops. It's attractive it's sleek it saves us 5 in over the bulky thing that we had there before depth wise, the drawers are just seemingly bottomless but then I was used to it 2 inch deep drawer on an old buffet. The 42 inch height turned out to be kind of perfect because I can still put my tall lamp on there underneath my sculptures. So I'm very pleased to, another Wayfair win! Arrived in 3 days I think after ordering, very well packed not a scratch on it not a dent not a scuff. I don't know what kind of wood rubber wood is but I've had other pieces made out of rubber wood that lasted for 35 years without a mark on them. It is filled and sturdy and easy to access and still low enough that you can set some keys on it or the candy dish or whatever. Really love it! Still got a bunch of junk around it and on it I'm still in rearranging mode from the old piece of furniture. This this is in a short sort of haul/turn from our long living room into the nook where our bedroom door opens. So we traverse this little area millions of times a day with laundry baskets and whatever we're leaving the bedroom with or taking in. Now we have 5 in more room. I cannot say enough positive things about this cabinet. Comes basically fully assembled other than the feet and the knobs. The wood tone is medium to dark depending on your lighting. Just finished assembling both of them and they look great! Not sure why they are called "narrow" when they are square! Easy directions, even for a 60+ year old woman. My only disappointment is the artificial textured "grain" that is on the topside and legs, but the underside was left smooth and I like that look a lot better. These end tables are solid wood and excellent product. Worth every penny. No MDF or cheap parts. True omage to classic furniture. They comes 90 assembled you just need to add the legs. Adding the legs takes less time than unboxing. UNBOXING TIP turn the box upside down and peel the layers of cardboard back. The first one took me like 15 minutes to unbox and the 2nd one was faster, once I understood how it was packaged. There are 2 layers of packaging protecting this beauty. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great solid wood bookcase but the sides of the bookshelf can be a bit wobbly. Durability is there but I would be hesitant to overload it with anything too heavy. Tolerances are slightly off between the individual shelves and the sides of the bookcase causing a bit of a gap to be present between the two edges. Also there isn't a lot of room for error when installing the back panel. The panel and its screw holes needs to be aligned near perfectly center, otherwise the screws will damage and shear the edges of the side panels off due to how thin the side walls are.. Josh Taing. The tracks on these drawers are the cheapest I've ever seen. I've installed many cabinets over the years and know the trades well. I've seen the good and the bad and these are worse than bad. I thought I'd seen them all until now. These drawers ruin both the functionality and appearance since the drawers literally have a space on each side that make the appearance of the nightstands look awful and cheap. In other words no overlap such as you normally see on drawers. If they weren't already put together I'd return them. As it is, they will be given away or discarded somehow. You get what you pay for.
