I had no problem getting used to the bed, yes it was a little harder than the one in the store and I phoned to make sure I got the soft because it was no where on the mattress that it was a soft, she checked and assured me I did and it would soften up. It’s incredibly soft and plush, but unlike other soft mattresses I’ve tried, you don’t sink in so much that it’s hard to move or roll over. It feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud, but with just the right amount of support underneath, so I wake up feeling rested and without aches. I've been sleeping on it for about a month now and have no issues waking up with a sore back, shoulders, or neck! A couple of things to keep in mind: this mattress is very tall, about 16", so you’ll need deep pocket sheets and a deep mattress protector, and it’s also very heavy, which makes changing the sheets a bit of a workout. Even with those quirks, the comfort is outstanding. If you want a mattress that’s truly soft and plush but still supportive and durable, I can’t recommend this one enough.. Maribenz_9855. I’ve owned this Beautyrest Plush Pillow Top Mattress for a while now, and it has completely changed the quality of my sleep. From the very first night, the mattress felt incredibly comfortable — soft and plush on top, but still supportive underneath. It has the perfect balance where you feel cushioned without sinking too deep. I wake up with far less back and shoulder stiffness, and I’m sleeping through the night much better than I used to. I was skeptical of buying this mattress due to some of the reviews but I think it’s great. I gave it four stars because it’s a little firmer than I expected (as many of the reviews state) I don’t feel that it is ultra plush as advertised but it’s still very comfortable and I don’t wake up with back pain.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this for mattress for my teenage son's room. He was ready for a good mattress. Overall we are very happy with this one. He says it is very comfortable, gives great support and he likes that the mattress isn't firm but on the softer side. He is a tall boy so it seems to be holding up good for the past month that he has been sleeping on it. His only complaint is that he would of liked to feel the cooling gels more. This mattress is used when we have guest as well. My mom slept on it and she gave her stamp of approval. Believe me when I say that my Mom would let me know if she didn't like it. My dad has also slept on it a few times and he also likes it but would of liked a more firmer mattresses (he is strange). Overall it is a very good mattress.
