These seem like they are sturdy enough and will last a considerable amount of time. The shelves fold down and there is a support brace on the back. A beautiful and functional shelving unit once completed. Delivery was fast and the packaging intact. The parts were packed beautifully with foam in a Tetris like configuration with no waste of space. The item arrived in two packages. The assembly instructions were fairly clear other than the teeny-tiny text. Assembly was frustrating at the beginning. Felt as if I needed three more arms to get all the holes to line up. It's just a series of bolts and nuts but getting them aligned was a process. It got easier as more pieces were added to the frame.
