I needed this carport to use as an outdoor workspace for upcoming renovations. Its the next best thing to a garage. I do recommend installing the roof canopy after the roof frame has been assembled. Assembling the roof canopy after the frame was fully erected proved to be cumbersome. Highly recommend using a four-step ladder or 6 ft ladder. I was able to assemble alone. It is actually a pretty solid car port. high ceilings. I do agree with that one reviewer - if only they made the bolts a couple mm longer, it would make set up so much quicker. This is a great carport. The directions for the canvas part was a bit hard to decipher, but otherwise the directions were pretty good. Unwrapping plastic from each roof panel was a bit of a pain, but if you do it on a sunny day outside, the panels will get warm and the plastic will be easier to remove. We just had 3 or 4 of us at a time unwrapping them. I am optimistic that it will last a long time. It took about 4 hrs for two of us to set up. It wasnt that hard but I had a shelter already up (different brand (Rhino) but same basic design) to keep referring to. Was easier than my last shelter to but the cover on and tighten it-- seems well made though the poles do not seem as heavy duty as my Rhino shelter . It was disappointing that there were no grommet holes in the tops of the door to roll up the door-- I didnt know you had to buy a separate kit to get the doors to roll up (I looked it up and it does not seem all that easy to install-grommet holes wouldve been a no brainer). I rigged up a way to keep the door rolled up but that seems lame that they do not offer grommet enforced holes. I will see how it stands up to NH winters -- it is snug for my CRV. If I was a big person it would be hard to get in and out of-- makes me wish I wouldve gotten the pointed roof as the bend lessens the space. All and all it looks good--was easy enough to set up -the instructions are pretty pathetic and it would NOT have been easy had I not done one before. Good quality for the price.. Anonymous. This is a really heavy duty and robust storage shed. It takes a bit to put together, but that may have been because we were assembling it between a tree and our fence-line where there was just barely enough space for the shed. Overall, it was not bad to put together as the assembly process is pretty straightforward. The steel poles are very stout and strong. I really don't see the wind taking this shed anywhere, especially if you stake it down. Plenty of stakes and some concrete anchors are included. There are ratchet straps at all four corners. These straps help to tighten and cinch down the outer cover around the covers for the doors at each end. This aspect is a really nice design as it tightens the cover around the door openings to help keep out the elements. The cover material seems pretty robust and can be tightened down with a lot of tension, so even in heavy winds you won't get any flapping or movement of the cover. We bought this shed for garden tool and supply storage in our backyard. Overall, we have been really pleased with it. It's a good size shed, it fit our space perfectly, and it's made very well, such that it should hold up for years to come.. Christina B. Oregon. Fri Aug 02 2024
