The product arrives in two long, flat boxes. The packing was sufficient for the most part except for the triangular pieces that are part of the roof. They were dented and scratched, but I didn’t think it was worth my time and trouble to try to have them replaced, so I pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet. The flaws are visible, but not as bad as how they came. Each piece of metal is covered with plastic film that should be removed before assembly, which takes a lot of time and patience, but once removed the metal surfaces are very clean with a good coating. Assembly definitely requires two people and several hours since there are over 300 screws, but once assembled, the structure is very solid. I was impressed with the engineering. All of the screw holes lined up and the instructions/diagrams were easy to follow. I built a wooden deck with 2x6 treated joists and treated plywood for the floor and screwed the base to that. Also did a row of cinder blocks, which required a little customizing where the door fit in the wall. The exterior walls are so thin that I would never recommend stapling a vapor barrier on the interior because the Staples come through on the outside even if they are very short. The Suncast 8x10 Shed is a nice addition to our property for our storage needs. I will admit the process of putting together the shed was not as easy as other reviews had suggested (however that is probably user error). Having a level base is extremely important as any uneven surface will cause the roofing and doors to not align as needed and will create some issues while putting it together.
