These were not hard to install, I watched a video. I really recommend a video, it makes the directions make sense. Getting it level is the hard part. Drilling the screws in was probably the harder part. The shades came the exact size I measured, kudos to the person who cuts them to size. Well this lamp shade has many problems. It requires assembly. That wouldn't be bad by itself but the clips on the lampshade do not even fully wrap around the lampshade frame. So they don't hold the lampshade and the frame just falls out all of the time. Not sure how this got through quality control honestly. You can't even place it on the lamp base without it all falling apart. Including photos to show how bad the clips are. The sizing of the opening is too large for my lamp but using one adapter in a different way under the frame allowed it sit on the lamp. I used needle nose pliers on the tiny clamps to try to keep the shade on the frame. Lets see if it holds but will likely return. Today I got the package for silk lampshade. I have 7 orient lamps all with silk shades. The one I got early 2001 with beige scalloped shade with plastic lining until it turned brown and cracked. I have bought a small silk lampshade at lamp shop before. It was over $100 and now I am retired. I need a new shade so badly and I tried Wayfair and looked carefully with sizes. It’s affordable. Got the shade and touched carefully. The fabric is really silk! So I placed on the lamp. Sides was correct 12 inches. The bottom and top was 1.5 inches short.
