I had used this type of air conditioner at an Air BnB and really like it, this was main reason for ordering this one and it is great. I especially like that it is a converter unit and can be used year-round for cooling in the summer and for heat in the winter. The greatest advantage, I think is the savings on your electric bill from not having to cool the entire house. The inverter option is great for any place with short winters for the same reason noted above, no furnace needed! I heat up a room for the cold hours of the night and that’s it. The remote control is a must, but it works great with the thermostat so I just set the temperature I like and that’s it! The room stays at a comfortable temperature. My husband was able to do most of the installation. It was relatively easy to install the unit on the wall with parts that are included, we only had a certified electrician do the the connection and final install of the unit. This window ac unit does everything it should. Its small but mighty. I have it in a smaller bedroom and it cools it down very quickly! The lowest temp is 61 as a timer and all the basic features that a window unit usually comes with. You can turn the display off the lights in the display with the remote or you can leave it on. The display is very clear to read. I know its more of a personal preference, but I like how the remote is kind of bulky and a nice size. I always lose smaller things so I appreciate the size of the remote. The installation is what you would expect with any window AC unit. Nothing special. Very happy with this purchase. For a dual hose air conditioner I think this is a good middle of the road option for places like where I live (nor cal) where humidity is not an issue. I did try to use a hose attachment which wasn’t readily available for this unit and it did leak. However the bottom drain works perfectly. The caveat with this machine is that you absolutely cannot lose the remote otherwise you cannot operate the unit. You can only turn on and off from the main unit but no operation.
