I had a ge microwave already. This was basically the newest version. Be careful. The mount bracket is a little different and the top screws are in a different spot. After an exhaustive search we found this perfect ZLINE microwave to put in the corner of our new kitchen next to the pantry. This is an OTR model but it can be mounted as we did. It convenient yet out of the way, not taking up counters pace. We didn't care for the microwave in a drawer, so this was the fix. The tubular handle matched other appliances. My only thought was I wished the handle matched. For some reason it's shiny chrome on a stainless trimmed front? You don't notice as it's in the corner, but we did wonder. The MDR30SS has user-friendly features and 10 convenient power levels that let you select the right conditions for any meal. The "defrost by weight" setting helps to ensure a more efficient thawing process. Additional functions include a +30 seconds setting, popcorn button, beverage button, and melt + soften settings that lets you achieve the best conditions for butter, cream cheese, chocolate, or ice cream. This unit has an audible end-of-cycle buzzer, which can be disabled if you prefer a quieter operation. An energy-saving eco mode, child lock, and digital clock with a timer are also included. We've designed the MDR30SS to fit inside traditional 30" wide cabinet openings (recommended cutout: 14.81" H x 28.44" W x 23.5" D). The drawer front comes in a brushed stainless steel finish with a horizontal grain and large window in dark glass. A professional style handle with a 1 1/4" thick diameter completes the luxurious look.
