so far it is keeping cold. the freezer space is cut down with the extra ice maker,if i leave it off and use the extra room, i am in fear that the ice may not start working again. i really like it,but it might not start working if it is left off to long. so i have been informed by LG. I had the Samsung Chef Collection before this. Talk about a big trash can. The ice maker would always freeze up. It was a know problem and Samsung actually gave me my money back.
