This will be my second set of Schmidt Brothers knives because their quality had me cone back for more. The bonded ash is for a different kitchen. These are stunning in person and I am thrilled with them. The handles are each uniquely different in grain shades yet uniform in pattern. The block is a beautiful brown with a smoky stain. A double cutlery drawer replaces a full drawer and converts that space into a two-tier cutlery organizer. 18" drawer is made from 1/2" solid birch with dovetail sides. The top cutlery tray is on slides so it can move out of the way to access the bottom cutlery drawer. Ships notched and bored, ready for under-mount slides which are sold separately.
