I've been very impressed with the FOTILE 30" Slant Vent range hood. It’s extremely efficient at removing smoke and cooking odors, much more powerful than standard models. Despite its strong suction (up to 1100 CFM), it operates surprisingly quietly, which is a big plus in an open kitchen. The touchless control feature is also a standout. You can turn it on or off just by waving your hand, which is super convenient when your hands are messy from cooking. It offers four power levels, so you can adjust the suction based on what you’re making, from light stir-frying to heavy-duty searing. Overall, it’s easy to use, effective, and thoughtfully designed. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. This is a great range hood fan and I researched many many different ones before coming across this one. It's actually a Canadian company but the actual company was out of stock . Wayfair was as well but their back order came in pretty quickly. The hood is gorgeous with everything I wanted it to have ( 4 lights, not just 2 and they're DIMMABLE!!), 2 simple dials; one for lights and one for fan speed ( no ugly black electronic panel with yet another clock..lol) and it's pretty quiet, even on the highest speed which is a powerful 750 cfm. Looks beautiful!! Love it!! Even on the quiet mode it is somewhat louder than expected. It really moves the smoke and smells out of the house though!! The noise from the fan doesn’t bother me as much as it may some others but for the price I did expect it to be more quiet but it has 2 powerful fans!! So far so good. The installation was tough as the template supplied for the alignment of the screw holes on the back didn't really work. We had to modify the holes on the back. We are planning on placing a stainless steel panel to cover the hole left by our microwave. The little remote was a cute feature I didn't realize it came with, so that was a bonus.. Jessica.
