It is solid but with the mdf outer- well let’s just say be careful your contractor doesn’t place it in a place with standing water. The good news is the swelling that occurs dries out but you have to let it sit for days. The other thing is the primer on it is super glossy and even after sanding isn’t the easiest to paint.
