These doors are great! I didn't want to paint doors and these were bright white. They came well packaged, no damage. They are very heavy and took 2 people to put them up, which were my husband and I. They are, in fact, trimmable as we needed them to be, but be mindful that you need to remove screws at the bottom to trim it, then replace those screws afterwards, so you may want a pro to do this if you not exceptionally skilled. They do have a fairly good sound barrier even with glass. The glass came down lower than expected, to mid-thigh on my 5'5" frame, but it's good for letting out natural light, which I needed. Of note, the veneer is thick and is sort of plastic, not paintable, so do not chip it. We have one tiny chip to fix which was our fault. The veneer does make it easy to clean though. The draw back it the trim that comes with it is basically cardboard with veneer and is garbage. I literally broke it with my bare hands. We used real wood trim. Update 121625 - Ok, Doors have been installed now my husband will put holes in for the doors for the handle hardware and wait for our warmer weather to paint doors (black). He will paint the trim and doors black. But these doors provide such a much more expensive and quality look. The contrast between the original doors and these 5 panel doors are night and day and the soundproofing is sooo much better. We have a open concept home and to have the solid core makes such a difference. So much so we were going to leave one of our doors that is not seen in the main area original but he had me order another one today. I will say these doors were prices extremely well over the big box stores or any competitor. I can not express how much these doors have increased not only the value of our home but the beauty. Original 111425 My husband has been disappointed with the current doors we have in home (hollow core and plain). Our home is an open plan and the doors being as they are you hear everything and this was his biggest complaint outside of the fact that they were plain and ugly. Door is as stated in description so if that is what you need, this door will serve the purpose. The craftsmanship and quality of the door itself is fine. What a nice door and to think the customer support man helped me find it! All I can say is that it arrived quickly and is the perfect replacement for my old basement door which was letting the draft in during this past cold weather and it really was freezing here in Oklahoma! For the past few months, I’ve been updating all the doors in my home, switching them from white to black. When I came across this door, I decided to order it for my closet to add a different design and save myself from having to paint another one. I’m so happy with how beautiful this door is, it completely elevated the look of my closet! It’s such a simple change, but it made a big difference. Just a heads-up the door does not come with a pre-cut hole for the doorknob or hinges. Thankfully, my husband was able to handle that without any issues.
