These mattress came vacuum-sealed and expanded to almost full size by the time I got the plastic off. The topper is nice material and can be zipped off for easy cleaning. I gave the mattresses about two days to fully expand and was surprised at how firm they are. Most "firm" mattresses are not very firm; however, I weigh just under 200lbs and I sunk in about a half-inch. It is a soft kind of firm, not a hard, cheap couch kind of firm. My wife laid on the top one and she was equally, pleasantly surprised. That says a lot, coming from her, as she has a bad hip and is very particular when it comes to mattresses. After sleeping on this for at least week I can say I really love this mattress. Its very firm and doesnt move when anyone gets in or out of bed. Even though its firm and doesnt transfer movement it has a soft cushioning that molds to your body after you rest for bit. But for a foam top layer the best part is that it doesnt hold heat and become hot to sleep on! The shipping box was easy to maneuver and opening was straightforward. This is a very comfortable mattress and is so easy to unpack. I love the ease and convenience of these type of mattresses where you simply remove from the packaging and they decompress.
