Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. I've seen these newer afwalls being used hundreds of times since being introduced in 2008, and they have been nothing but really reliable and sensory-friendly for people on the spectrum. Unfortunately, there's a vocal group of haters on the internet who do not like this generation of afwall, but pay them no mind. The bowl of this toilet is deep enough compared to the older model that felt too shallow, like I was sitting on a clogged toilet. The new model, also, avoids siphoning out unnecessarily when you flush it, unlike the previous model that can do so unexpectedly and unnerve some people. Light plastic elongated toilet seat. Well made. Nice product. Super easy to install, thanks to the help of the video on this page as there were no instructions. Though it really is self explanatory. The extra height is great gor me as I can no longer sit so low due to back problems. My 64 friends says its great too, he doesnt feel like an adult in a childrens bathroom. The lid doesnt slam as loudly as my previous toilet lid but its not really what I expected for a soft close. I expected like soft closing cabinet drawers, its not slow like that.
