This padding makes the rug feel so great when you walk on it! It is 12 “ thick, but it makes a great difference! The one downside is that it is not slide resistant. So one needs to be careful. I finally got my rug pad after it was delivered to my neighbor. I had to wait an extra day, after the first delay in delivery, but I got them. They were wider than 3 ft., my carpets are 39" so I had to cut about 2" off the width, no big deal.
