Just perfection, I love it. I have been looking a several different lights for our side room. I wanted something big and bold but not bulky, also something classic I would still like down the road. Found it! I would say it was a little more difficult to install than the steps made it seem. My husband knows electric and still took us about an hour. I added a larger base at the top that I got somewhere else. It goes under the base of the light to add some more dimension. I really love it so much. The price was incredible, I did lots of research on chandler’s and I still can’t believe how good the price point is (look out for a sale too) The black is a true matte black, I used 40 watt chandler bulbs as they said that’s the highest you can go and it’s nice and bright. Love this light! We were looking for something with a bit of color! We did not want a huge dining light that would block our view for a recent remodel. Regular light bulbs are too long for this fixture so need to buy the shorter base. The product specs only list the base type as FYI. Picture taken is with light off to show the color variation..
