I was looking for a maximum 28"x48" rug to go between two doorways and every other rug I looked at, which was a lot of rugs, didn't come close to that, but this one did AND it looked nice so I got it. It's 26" but the important thing is it isn't too wide like most others. It is very good quality and much softer than expected, and you can vacuum it without it bunching up like some of the newer style flat rugs. This is an old style rug (in a good way). I wish I could take a photo that did this rug justice. It is absolutely gorgeous. The beige wool is almost golden. It makes the room so warm and cozy. It hasn’t had much time to rest so it may look a bit bumpyuneven. It will flatten overnight I assume. I vacuumed it thoroughly and it of course produced a lot of shed (to be expected with a wool rug), but it held up spectacularly. It’s so easy to vacuum, and is clearly of excellent quality. My purchase arrived quickly. The size of the rug runner fit perfectly in my entryway. The copper color in the rug runner complemented the terra cotta tile in the entryway.
