These were not hard to install, I watched a video. I really recommend a video, it makes the directions make sense. Getting it level is the hard part. This was an experience. First, I couldn’t clear the utility lines at my house but my friend’s deck was perfect. We started out confident, but it didn’t last. The wrenching apparatus was our downfall. In the end we decided to forgo the winch process and hung it only using the locking mechanisms. The sail is great. It feels strong yet pliable and it’s the perfect shade of summer red. Not bad! Looks just like the photo in the description. Measured 100 times before I ordered. There is more of a gap towards the bottom right than top. At the top, both sides start at about 34” gap. At the bottom, the right gap ends up being about 1 ¼” and the left about ½”. Mounting was easy as I had slatted blinds, so I just popped those off and replaced the brackets for the new ones - a quick Google search and YouTube video helped. Took about 30 minutes by myself..
