A highly skilled artisan copper plate engraver, company founder and chairman Roy Kirkham formed the Pottery business in the early 1970's producing character jugs and figurines, and later the fine bone for which he would become globally renowned. His fine bone china clay (or “body”) was made with a blend of bone ash (44%), feldspar (30%) and kaolin clay (26%) to give the product an exquisite translucent appearance; yet it was found to be stronger and more chip resistant than all other porcelain products available. Every Roy Kirkham ceramic product is made using a recognised premium grade fine bone china body following the same principles perfected two hundred and thirty years ago.

Beautiful sink and got plenty of comments on it before and just after it was installed. Still think it’s a beautiful sink but does scratch very easily. We used sink for 2 days before sink grid arrived and babied it. It still got one small scratch as cooking utensils were put at bottom of sink. It has subsequently started rusting. It is no larger than a grain of rice but is noticeable. The sink grid helped to cover it up but is still frustrating based on cost. If purchasing, make sure to get the sink grid before using.. Derek. The two musicians were taken into custody following a performance in the area where “about a half pound” of marijuana was confiscated by the police.
